Here at College
Avenue, we strive to meet the needs of every member of the family. We
accomplish this goal by offering programs and classes that are relevant
to all ages. The following is a brief explanation of the various
programs that can directly benefit your family and bring each member
closer to God.
TWEENAGERS
This ministry meets the needs of those that are infants
through the sixth grade. Each month we strive to offer activities to
grow spiritually and to build relationships in this age group. A youth
council consisting of parents of children in this age group assist in
prayerfully planning these activities. Activities range from a one day
youth rally in August to skating parties. Our goal is to provide
quality spiritual activities to bring these young people closer to God
and one another.
YOUTH MINISTRY
Our youth ministry program involves all of our students
in grades 7-12. We have students from ElDorado as well as from several
of the area schools. Our goal is to help our young people grow
spiritually, develop a personal relationship with Jesus, and equip them
with the tools necessary to reach out to their friends with the saving
gospel of Jesus Christ. We also seek to build a solid, spiritual
support group within the group itself. This provides a safe haven of
support and also accountability. We accomplish this through monthly
devotionals, weekly youth breakfasts and many other community building
activities.
We are
actively involved with area congregations and participate in numerous
youth rallies to promote spiritual growth. Each July our congregation
hosts T.L.U. (Teen Leadership University) which seeks to enable youth to
be better leaders in their home, school, and in the church.
We also participate in several service projects and
mission trips throughout the year that expand their world view and
allows our young people to grow in a variety of ways.
There is also a youth council made up of parents of kids
in the group that deals directly with this age group and has a vested
interest in their spiritual development.
FAMILY MINISTRY
Through our family ministry program, we are bringing
families closer together physically and spiritually. We are
accomplishing this goal by offering inter-generational and parenting
classes, take home devotionals, family devotionals one night a month,
family retreats, and many other opportunities for positive family
interaction and spiritual growth.
SUNDAY NIGHT MINISTRIES
5:45 P.M. - 7:15 P.M.
GROWTH
GROUPS: A Growth Group is an informal gathering of people who are
interested in mutually developing their own spiritual growth by
investigating together what the Bible has to say about a particular
subject. A Growth Group is small enough to allow anyone who wishes to
participate the freedom to speak within a casual, relaxed atmosphere.
All lessons are self-contained, and require no previous attendance, so
anyone can “drop in” to visit any group at any time.

groups...
STAFFED NURSERY: (Infants) A fully staffed
nursery at the back of the Auditorium will lovingly care for your
infants while the Growth Groups are meeting.
CHILDREN’S BIBLE HOUR: (18 months - those who
have not yet entered Kindergarten) In this
program children are given a better knowledge of God's Word through
songs, physical activities, crafts, and videos.
KIDS FOR CHRIST: (Grades K-5) K.F.C. is designed
to better prepare your child with the tools necessary to become a more
complete person, bring them closer to God, and have a great time in the
process. Through memory verses, singing, skits, crafts, videos,
and many other methods we strive each week to help children get a better
grasp of the Bible as well as what it means to live a life that is
pleasing to God. We strive to ensure that those in attendance know all
of the books of the Bible and are comfortable with many of the stories
found in its pages. We are blessed to have a great group of
teenagers that teach many of the classes and serve as great role models
for these young people.
MIDDLE SCHOOL, JR. HIGH, AND ST. HIGH CLASSES:
This year we are restructuring our classes for those in Middle School
through High School.
