The Bible says in Titus
2:14 that Jesus gave himself for us to create for himself a people who are "eager to do what is good." That phrase provides a good description of the recipient of our Servant Towel for the month of September, because he is always eagerly looking for some way to pitch in and be of service.

We had dozens of College Avenue folks who worked hard at Camp Kurios this summer, but this individual is one of the few who served in all three sessions He is a diligent student of the Bible and has served as a co-leader of a Growth Group and he and his wife have been hosts

He is active in our Recovery Ministry and speaks regularly at the Substance Abuse Center, and the staff has made a point of telling us that his presentations are always well received.

He supports the work of our Prime-Timers and frequently visits our older men.

Because of his enthusiastic example, his positive attitude, and most of all, his servant heart, I am privileged today to present the Servant Towel for the month of September to my brother and friend, Leroy Shelton.
