When I think of a servant,
I automatically picture someone who diligently works behind the scenes
without any thought of recognition or applause. Our Servant Towel
recipient for July certainly fits that mold.
It is not uncommon to find this individual behind the counter in the
kitchen in the FLC helping with a meal for a good cause; or in the
nursery caring for the babies; or behind a camera taking pictures of our
newest members.
In addition, she does a monumental amount of work to prepare our church
directory so that we can all be better acquainted.
Not only that, every year since 1988 her organization skills and
dedication have been crucial to the success of Camp Kurios. She is
the "unsung hero" of camp, the person who is willing to do all of the
groundwork necessary to make camp possible. Whether it involves copying
and processing applications, helping with cabin assignments, mixing up
Gatorade while others are busy having fun, or coordinating pizza and ice
cream nights for happy campers, Cathy Meadows has consistently
demonstrated a servant heart.
For these reasons and many others we were pleased to present the
Servant’s Towel for the month of July to Cathy Meadows.
