When it comes to service, Susan Turbeville is a true utility player. In addition to her role as a great wife and mother, she has many other talents that she uses for the glory of God. Whether Susan is coordinating a Red Cross shelter here in our facility or working with a school supply drive, she is always thinking of others and has a true heart for the less fortunate. She was instrumental in establishing our current partnership with Northwest Elementary and worked hand in hand with our teens as we gutted homes in Pearlington, Mississippi, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
She leads our young mom’s Bible study on Wednesday mornings; she has
taught in our "True Love Waits" program; and she and Joe have hosted a
Growth Group in their home for many years. Susan serves on the El Dorado School Board as well as our Youth Council and the Camp Kurios board. She is also one of my "right hand ladies" who serves as co-assistant director during Junior Week session of camp. This is all in addition to her passionate work with the mission field in Haiti. For these reasons and many more, we were pleased to present Susan with the Servant Towel for the month of March. –Kent
