PRAYER.” We believe that congregational prayer is at the heart of what
it means to genuinely be a church “of Christ” and we know it is the key
to experiencing God’s blessings.
That is
why each year we kick-off the school year with a 24-hour prayer vigil
for our young people, and we commit to a congregational campaign of “40
Days of Prayer” each fall. In addition, our ladies meet on the second
Tuesday night of each month for a prayer meeting and our men have a
prayer breakfast on the first Tuesday morning of each month.
Our Ladies
Bible class maintains a prayer list each Tuesday morning, and the
Ladies’ ministry is establishing a prayer chain to respond to
emergencies.
The
shepherds meet each Sunday morning in the library from 8:15 a.m. until
8:50 a.m. to pray for the needs of this church family, and any member is
welcome to submit a personal prayer request or to meet with us for
prayer during that time.
The
ministry of prayer is one that every Christian can
participate in. We invite you to take the list that is published in our
worship bulletin home with you and remember throughout the week the
people who are named there. We also ask that you contact the church
office whenever we need to update that list by adding or removing a
name.
