Dan Williams has been our preaching minister since
1985. He is a native of Gallatin, Tennessee. Before coming to El
Dorado he served churches in Virginia, Tennessee, California and North
Carolina. Dan regularly conducts gospel meetings, family seminars, and
small group workshops around the country. He and his wife Gina have two
sons: Daniel and Michael.
Dan has earned a B.A. in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University; an M.A.
in Cross-Cultural Studies from the School of Church Growth and World
Missions at Fuller Theological Seminary; and an M.A. and Ph.D. in
Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
In addition to his full-time ministry with us, Dr. Williams conducts a
limited private practice in Marriage and Family Therapy. He is a LMFT
and LPC and a licensed Supervisor.
Dan serves as an Adjunct Faculty member of the Harding University
Graduate School of Religion, where he teaches Family Development and
Parenting. He has published dozens of articles for national
publications such as Ministry, Gospel Advocate, Marriage and Family:
A Christian Journal, Church Growth Magazine, Twenty-First Century
Christian, Church & Family, and Teenage Christian. Dan has
also published three volumes of curriculum for small groups – Heart
to Heart, Verse by Verse; Faith to Faith, Verse by Verse; and
Growing Together, Verse by Verse. They are being used in more than
1500 churches nationwide and are available at
